Tomorrow, Friday, 3/16 is a free green dress down day!!! Happy St. Patrick's Day


We are finishing up our last 2 days of Iowa Testing. There will be no HW for Math on Monday or Tuesday!

We will resume with HW on Wednesday!

Extra Help-Wednesday during lunch!

There are 2 more dress down days in support of our Annual Tricky Tray. The dates are as follows:

Please sign and return permission slips by Monday, March 12th.

Confirmation and adjustments to the schedule will be sent home after all permissions are received.

ST. LEO’S SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY

We take pride in the appearance of our students. Proper dress reflects and affects the quality of the school, conduct, and schoolwork. Students should be dressed in a manner that indicates cleanliness and Christian modesty. Upon their arrival, students are expected to be in complete uniform. The school uniform is to be worn in a respectful manner with a sense of pride and dignity at all times, on school and church property, and at designated school events.

 

Students are required to follow the dress code policies at all times unless the principal gives specific exemptions.  

All students (PreK-Grade 8)

 

Hair

Style should present a neatly groomed appearance.

Styles deemed too long or not appropriate by the principal must be adjusted.

Unnatural hair coloring is not allowed.

Only school issued headbands can be worn.  NO BOWS, FLOWERS, or GLITTER.

Hair shoulder length or longer should be pulled up/back neatly in a headband, ponytail, or braid.

Hats are NOT permitted in school.

 

Jewelry

Jewelry should be kept to a minimum.

One small necklace, bracelet, or watch

Girls may wear one small stud earring per ear. (No hoop or dangling earrings)

 

Make-Up

Girls may wear nail polish. Colors are acceptable but must be neat.  No chipping and peeling polish.

Make-up should not be worn in school.

 

School administration may request the removal of any make-up and/or jewelry deemed excessive. Should it be necessary to repeatedly address inappropriate use of makeup and/or jewelry, the student will lose the privilege of being allowed to wear it.


 

Uniform Requirements for All Students

 

Navy school sweater with school logo is recommended from Columbus Day through April 30.

Only school approved sweaters are permitted and classroom temperatures vary throughout the day.

 

BE SURE TO MARK ALL SWEATERS and ALL CLOTHING WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME.

ALL Black rubber soled shoes are mandatory

NO boots, ballet flats, or sandals.

Sneakers are to be worn on Gym Day (K-8).

 

We take pride in the appearance of all of our students! Stained, excessively wrinkled, or torn clothing is not appropriate.


 

Pre-K & Transitions (Boys and Girls)

All school issued:

Polo Shirt with Logo (Light Blue)

Pull on Navy Pant or Short

Sneakers are acceptable for PreK & Transitions. (No lights, glitter)

 

All Boys Grades K-8

Cardigan Sweater ,V-Neck Pullover Sweater w/ School Logo

Sweater Vest (with School Logo) (optional)

Lt. Blue Button Up Oxford (Long Sleeve and/or Short Sleeve) w/ School Logo

Uniform Tie (school plaid) - 8th graders only may wear a tie of their choice

GYM UNIFORM (K-8)

Students are required to be prepared for gym on their classes designated gym day.

Gym Shirt - 8th graders only may wear their class shirt

Gym Sweatsuit

 

Sneakers are to be worn on gym days (even on dress down days).

All students should have a water bottle marked with their name on gym days.


 

8th Grade Uniform Privileges

Students in 8th grade are afforded some uniform privileges.
